Your Complete Jupiter Chiropractic and Physical Therapy Clinic

Both chiropractic and physical therapy practices involve manual therapy. They can complement each other to enhance healing and speed up a patient’s recovery, and here at Papa Chiropractic and Physical Therapy, we provide both of these healing modalities to the residents of Jupiter and the surrounding communities.

Jupiter Chiro and Physical Therapy

It isn’t at all unusual for a chiropractor to encourage a patient to do specific exercises at home for purposes of strengthening the patient’s back and neck muscles. Those exercises are often identical or substantially similar to the same exercises that physical therapists use for the same purposes.

Physical Therapy Can Aid Chiropractic Care

Chiropractors are in general agreement that muscle strengthening through physical therapy aids in chiropractic care by helping to keep adjusted joints in place. Muscles that are cared for through physical therapy are connected to the bones that the chiropractor adjusts, so if the functions shared by these body parts are improved, the patient will reach full recovery sooner. If a person suffering from a musculoskeletal condition relies solely on physical therapy, a problem can sometimes go partially untreated. In turn, bad bone alignment makes it more difficult for important muscles to do their jobs. That’s why treating and caring for muscles, bones, and joints simultaneously is the preferred therapeutic course for reaching full improvement. It’s likely that patients will feel increasingly comfortable as they progress through their treatment plans. Over time, home exercise will become easier to do, and that increases a person’s chances for a full recovery.
